This hat is known for its sun protection due to the large wrap around brim. There is elastic in the back for a comfortable fit. The tie bow in back is mainly decorative, although it can be tied tighter by a few inches to reduce the size.
The same paint is used on tees, shirts, and hats. They all are machine washable. We recommend cold water to keep colors bright. The hats can take rain and be cleaned with soap and water. (Although I find Tide pens to a superior way to clean small areas of fabric items). Colors are very permanent under normal use.
